Dr. Joseph Barnhart, DDS
Dr. Joe joined Barnhart Dental in 2011 after graduating from the UMKC School of Dentistry, proudly continuing the legacy of his father, Dr. John Barnhart, who founded the practice in 1977 and retired in 2023. As the owner of Barnhart Dental, Dr. Joe is dedicated to providing advanced, technology-driven dentistry to the community.
He is known for his expertise in dental implant surgery, full mouth reconstruction, and the integration of cutting-edge technology to achieve highly precise results. Dr. Joe completes dozens of full mouth reconstructions each year and is passionate about transforming the smiles of patients who feel their dental health is beyond repair.
To stay at the forefront of modern dentistry, Dr. Joe travels across the country multiple times a year for hands-on continuing education. His advanced training includes an intensive year-long surgical residency in Alabama, where he gained experience in complex implant placement, bone grafting, sinus surgery, and full mouth rehabilitation.
Dr. Joe previously served as Invisalign Faculty for the state of Missouri and has trained dentists across North America. He is also a proud member of the American Dental Association.
